Learning opportunities
Our flexible programme lasts around two-to-three years.
It combines on-the-job learning through rotations across the team with in-house courses specifically designed to provide a broad understanding of market risk management techniques.
The key development opportunities will be through daily interaction with the trading desks, other departments and senior management. With your hands-on responsibilities growing all the time, you値l develop an understanding of the risk measures used, provide daily analysis of the positions traded, assist on projects to enhance the risk framework, maintain control systems and procedures, recommend improvements, investigate problems and work alongside key stakeholders to resolve issues.
Qualifications
A highly numerate background is essential as you値l need to have confidence discussing mathematical concepts and be articulate on technical issues.

The future
Developing your knowledge and building key skills across a variety of traded products, you値l lead projects and add value in a constantly evolving risk management framework. Within two-to-three years, you should progress to Associate level - offering opportunities across the Santander Group.
